Let your light shine through family, friendship and faith
“Enabling our whole school community to flourish and let their light shine, preparing them for their role as gentle and humble agents for change in the world we share.”
Little Mermaid
On Thursday 4th December we will be paying our annual visit to the New Vic. This year we are taking all children from Reception Class up to Year 4 (our Dormice children will enjoy other activities at school) and we will be watching The Little Mermaid. Thanks to the enormous efforts and tireless hard work of our very active PTFA we have been able to hold the cost of this trip down to last year’s price of £15. This is only possible because of a substantial contribution from the PTFA covering the entire cost of the transport.
The cost of transport for school trips is becoming increasing prohibitive and I would like to express just how grateful we are to a relatively small band of extremely dedicated parents, grandparents and friends of the school, who work hard to put on events for us all to enjoy. This helps us to purchase extra resources for school and ensure these fantastic, enriching experiences for our children can still go ahead.
We will open payments for the trip on Monday (13th).
Danny Butler –Sponsorship and Donations
A big thank you to all those who have sponsored and / or donated, and of course to all of our children who took part in the activities with Danny. We had a great morning exercising and raising money for school sports equipment. Any outstanding sponsorship money or further donations need to be in by Monday (13th Oct).
October Activity Days with ASM
ASM are running holiday club activity days on 29th and 30th October. Please book directly on their website.
Harvest Service
Our Harvest Service takes place next Friday morning (17th) at 9am. Please drop children off directly at the church between 8.45am and 8.55am. We will walk our breakfast club children down at that time.
There will be no family worship next Friday afternoon.
Autumn Discos – 12th and 13th November
PTFA will be holding autumn discos on 12th and 13th November. Details can be found on the attached flyer.
Diabetes Screening – Monday 10th November
As a parent of a child with Type 1 Diabetes it’s fantastic to see so many signing up for the opportunity to take part in diabetes screening. Early knowledge and/or diagnosis of the condition is important in reducing its impact, and hopefully in the longer term, its prevalence. If you would like your child to benefit from this screening please book directly using the link that we have previously forwarded.
Regards,
Mr J Gordon
