Staffing News
After 13 years as a teacher at Barlaston, and an even longer association with our school, Mrs Broome is leaving us at Christmas to embark upon other exciting adventures on the Isles of Scilly. Mrs Broome has been an integral part of the team here at school, carrying out many roles. She has taught across the age groups, currently in Year 4, and leads in Maths, Computing, Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Educational Visits, among many others. She has served as our Assistant Head for the last 2 years and our Designated Safeguarding Lead since September last year. Her work in these areas and in that of Early Help and Family Support have played a key role in the school’s success over the recent years, not least in the outcomes achieved in our latest SIAMS, Ofsted and Health and Safety inspections. She is also the longest serving member of our current governing body.
Mrs Broome will be very much missed by the children and staff alike, and we wish her every success in the very exciting times ahead.
The recruitment process for a new teacher from January will begin next week.

Parking
I received complaints once again from our neighbours in Broughton Crescent about parking and the blocking of access to their properties at drop off and pick up time. Please use the church car park and the crossing patrol that we now have, and if it is absolutely necessary to park in the crescent, please ensure you do so with consideration and respect for our neighbours. Thank you for your co-operation.
October Activity Days with ASM
