Late/Absence Procedures

The school gates open at 8.40am, when you may take your child to their classroom door for teaching to begin at 8.55am.

The gates are locked at 8.55am. After this time, you will need to enter via the main entrance.

Children arriving between 8.55am and 9.30am are marked with a 'L' for late.

After 9.30am, they are marked with 'U,' this is an unauthorised mark for the morning session.

Parents/carers are asked to call school before 9.30am to advise if their child is going to be absent and the reason for the absence on Tel: 01782 372543.

There is an expectation that children will attend school, on time, every day, and positive attendance patterns will be fostered. It is our focus to provide positive support for pupils to maximise their attendance. Where attendance falls below 90% we will contact you to explore the causes of the absence(s) and any support required to help your child back to good attendance.
