Hedgehog Class welcomes children aged 4-5 years old as they take their next exciting step after Little Dormouse Class. Here, children continue to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence as they build on the strong foundations already in place. This nurturing, engaging environment where every child is encouraged to explore, discover and embed that long lasting love of learning.  

Below are the links to our long term plans that show all the exciting things we will be covering throughout the year. Communication and language and exposure to a rich vocabulary run through all of our topics, so we have embedded a range of rich texts that are used to support teaching throughout all areas of learning. 

 

At the start of every term a parent workshop drop-in session is held to offer an opportunity to speak to staff in detail about the curriculum and  key vocabulary for that term. It's an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how things are taught in early years.
