Sickness and Absence from School
A polite reminder that we follow the NHS UK guidance on sickness absence. We have, in the last few weeks, encountered a lot of illness amongst the children and indeed some amongst staff. I am aware that there are several quite nasty bugs doing the rounds but we do need to keep the instances of these to a minimum so that we don’t lose important learning time. If your child has a fever, diarrhoea or has vomited please keep them off school for a full 48hrs from the last episode.

Records of Achievement Day 21st March
Our next Records of Achievement day is Friday 21st March. Please join us at any time between 9am and 10am on that day. This is an opportunity to add to your child’s folder with photos, certificates, leaflets or other souvenirs etc. Some activities will be available in the classroom for you to complete with your child should you wish.
We will ask parents / carers to leave at 10am so that we can tidy away ready for our morning snack and playtime routine.
Mothers Day Activity 28th March
On Friday 28th March all children will decorate a plant pot in the classroom in the morning. In the afternoon members of the PTA will be coming into school and will help each child plant a flower in the plant pot which the children will bring home that afternoon. As this activity will take will take place throughout the afternoon there will be no family worship on that day.
There will be no family worship on either 21st or 28th March
Easter Holiday Club
I have attached the flyer for the Easter Holiday Club being held at Oulton First School by Little Stars. Please pre-book by 4th April if you would like your child to attend. The 2 day football holiday club running at our school by ASM Sports is still available to book-please see the email sent earlier this week for details.
