Let your light shine through family, friendship and faith
“Enabling our whole school community to flourish and let their light shine, preparing them for their role as gentle and humble agents for change in the world we share.”
Feed the Hungry and to Hand Foodpacking Event.
A big thank you to all who came to help with this wonderful event on 27th April. It was a fantastic event and great to see so many new and familiar faces. The atmosphere in the hall was brilliant with over 100 people helping us over the two sessions.
Sports Day
Next Friday (17th) is our sports day. Dormice and Hedgehogs will take the field at 9.30am, with the rest of the school taking part in their event at 1.30pm. We are asking that all children come dressed in their PE kits on Friday.
For the afternoon event we will dismiss the children immediately afterwards for those parents/carers who come to watch. If you intend to take your child immediately after the afternoon event we are happy for you to collect siblings before the start so that they can watch with you and be ready to leave afterwards if that is your wish.
Standon Bowers
Year 4 children, and accompanying staff, had an amazing, if tiring, 3 days at Standon Bowers. This is always a wonderful experience for the children and creates lovely life-long memories.
Wraparound Care
There has been a real improvement in booking onto our wraparound care, with almost everyone now booking on to every session. Thank you very much for your support with this. It is an enormous help in enabling us to plan the provision.
Holiday Club
Sports Coaching Group will once again be providing holiday club at May half term. I will attach flyers to next week’s newsletter and more information about booking on, which needs to be done through their website. The club will run from Tuesday 28th May to Friday 31st May.
Bringing Items into School
A reminder not to allow your child to bring any items (toys, bracelets, necklaces etc) into school unless specifically asked to do so, particularly if these are of any value, sentimentally or otherwise. Items brought into school inevitably get lost, swapped, damaged or broken, and can be a real distraction.
Morning Drop-off
Please make sure that you see your child safely to the classroom door and their classroom teacher in the mornings.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Regards,
Mr J Gordon
