Let your light shine through family, friendship and faith

“Enabling our whole school community to flourish and let their light shine, preparing them for their role as gentle and humble agents for change in the world we share.”

Building Work outside Squirrel and Badger Classrooms

This week we are having a canopy installed along the full length of the area outside of the Squirrel and Badger classrooms. This work is expected to complete on Monday 12th February (the Monday of half term).

Neighbours

A polite reminder to make sure we are always thoughtful of and respectful to our neighbours.  Thank you for your co-operation.

Wraparound Care

We had some days last week where the numbers booked on to after-school club in particular varied greatly to the numbers actually stopping, including one day when we expected 4 to be stopping for tea, but had 14. Obviously this causes great difficulties in the planning and the catering.  Please book on if you know you need this provision.  There is now a dedicated phone number and email should you need to make last minute changes.

Parents’ Evening

Parents evening letters were sent home on Friday. Please try to get these back to us as soon as possible to secure your preferred appointment.

Clubs

I will outline all teacher-led clubs for next half term in Friday’s newsletter.  Booking will open on the first Monday back (19th February), for clubs to start the following week.

Children’s Mental Health Week

Throughout this week the children will take part in various mental wellbeing activities in recognition of Children’s Mental Health Week.

Safer Internet Day

Tuesday is Safer Internet Day. Mrs Broome will deliver a worship after lunch and in the afternoon all of the children will discuss and take part in activities in their classrooms related to staying safe online.

Head Lice

We have been made aware of a case of head lice in school.  Please check whether you have been paid a visit.

Thank you very much for your continued co-operation in all of the above.  It is very much appreciated.

Regards,

Mr J Gordon
