23rd June
Friday 23rd June is an inset day with the school closed to children. We will however be running holiday club that day. Please book as soon as possible if you would like to use the club.
Holiday Club
Holiday club will be open over the entire summer break, from 26th July up to and including Friday 1st September. The 4th and 5th September are staff training days. The school will not be open to children on these days and there will be no holiday club on these days.
The holiday club provision was very busy on a couple of the May half term days and I am concerned to ensure that we maintain the legal staffing ratios at all times. Please book in advance to be sure of reserving a place. This will allow me to make sure that staffing meets the legal requirements, which we must adhere to. We cannot accept children arriving on the day without having booked if this would breach the legal staffing requirements, and this is obviously not a situation that we want to arise.
Books
We are getting an increasing number (4 today alone) of reading books arriving back in school damaged by leaking water bottles. This causes issues when these books are required by other children, and they are also extremely expensive to replace. Please make sure water bottle lids are securely fastened, and even carried separately if that’s possible.

Any money raised for Dougie Mac will be collected by Wednesday so if you have money to come in please send it by that date.
