Parking
We have had some close incidents recently outside school. As a parent myself of a child who was once knocked down outside school I am acutely aware of how quickly and suddenly something very serious can happen. Please take every care and consideration when driving and parking near school. The church car park is available to us. I know that there is no crossing patrol at the moment and that this is an issue. I am talking to the local council about this and any other measures which may help the situation. Safety of our children is paramount for all of us.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Reading Feedback Evenings
Thank you to all those who attended the reading feedback evenings this week. Some very useful discussions took place and the feedback received is very much appreciated. We will respond to all of the issues and comments raised.
Coronation Theme Day Friday 5th May
Friday is our Coronation Celebration day. Come dressed in red, white or blue, or any combination of those. The children will take part in activities throughout the day and school lunch will be a picnic lunch, outside on the field if the weather allows.
There will be no family worship next Friday.
Changes in Year 2 and 3
On Tuesday we welcome Mrs Edge to our school in readiness to cover Mrs Hewitt’s maternity leave from later in the month. Mrs Edge will teach Deer Class from Monday 5th June, with Mr Mellor moving across to Badger Class on that date. For the remainder of this half term the staff in Year 2 and Year 3 will work together to make the transition for both classes as smooth as possible.
Mr J Gordon.
