Dear Parents / Carers,

 

Kitchen

The work on our kitchen will complete over the half term break and the kitchen will be back in full use upon our return, so the Dolce menu will be back to normal. Please ensure you have selected a menu choice on schoolgrid as usual for the first day back. Thank you for your patience over the last couple of weeks while this work has been carried out. It is very much appreciated.

 

Hall

I have been informed that work planned for the half term break, in one of the smaller rooms immediately off our hall, will now commence tomorrow.  Unfortunately, this means we have had to cancel this week’s family worship.  The next family worship will take place  on Friday of the first week back. (27th February) at 2.55pm.

 

Discos

Discos will take place on 24th  February (Early Years and Year 1) and 25th February (Years 2, 3 and 4) Please book via the shop on Eduspot. Tickets are available until 20th February.

 

Parking

Please take great care to park drive and park both legally and respectfully in both the Crescent and near the Longton Road entrance / exit.  Drop off and pick up times are extremely busy and the presence of cars and children in such close proximity are a constant concern.

 

Drop off and Pick up

Staff are on duty to supervise children from 8.45am until they are dismissed from the classroom at the end of the school day.  Outside of these times all children remain under your supervision.  Please do not allow your child to play on the outdoor gym or any other playground equipment before or after school.  It is important that the equipment is used only under school supervision.

 

Please also be mindful of our neighbours and respectful of their properties when  walking to and from the school, and when waiting for us to open gates at the beginning and end of the day.

 

I will send an update on gate opening and closing times, and beginning and end of day procedures immediately after the half term break.

After School Football and Multi-Sports

ASM will recommence football on Tuesdays and multi-sports on Thursdays after school from the first week back after half term.  Please book directly on the ASM website.

 

Little Stars

Little Stars are running their holiday club as usual during the break. Please book directly with them.

 

World Book Day

On world book day this year we have decided on the theme of FICTION. We are offering a choice on the day of coming in your pyjamas or dressed as your favourite fictional character from a story you love.  I will give more details about how the day will run in my first newsletter after the break.

 

PTFA Mothers Day Activity

Our PTFA will once again run a Mothers Day activity.  This year this will take place on Friday 13th March.  The children will work with staff and the PTFA members  and bring home the fruits of their Labours after school.

 

Church

St John’s Church will be holding an Easter workshop on April 3rd from 10am to 12 noon. Come along and join in the fun. All are welcome.  More details will follow in my first newsletter after half term

 

Half Term

We break for half term tomorrow evening and return on Monday 23 February at 8.45am.
