Let your light shine through family, friendship and faith

“Enabling our whole school community to flourish and let their light shine, preparing them for their role as gentle and humble agents for change in the world we share.”

Dear Parents / Carers,

Kitchen Closure

I have been notified that our kitchen will undergo significant refurbishment works beginning on Monday 2nd February.  The work will complete during the half term break and the kitchen back in use for when we return.

This does however mean that we will be unable prepare hot food for the 2 weeks prior to half term.  I will be able to provide more details next week regarding the arrangements we will have in place during this period.

Staffing

Miss Leese leaves us today after over 10 years with us at Barlaston.  In that time Miss Leese has worked with many children in every single year group.  She is a very experienced member of our team and she will be greatly missed by staff and children alike.  We wish Miss Leese all the very best for the future and hope that she will call in to see us from time to time.

Crossing and Road Safety

Attached is an information leaflet we have been asked to pass on regarding Crossing and Road Safety.  This is something that is obviously very important in or setting.

Outdoor Gym

Our new outdoor gym has been installed this week. It looks fantastic and will be ready to use on Monday.

Little Stars

Little Stars are running their usual popular half term holiday club. Please book direct with them.

Football

A flyer for a 12 week football course is being sent home today for anyone interested.  It takes place at The Stanley Matthews Sports Hall.

Dates

I have included some initial dates for the diary up to Easter at the end of this newsletter.  I will add to these as future dates are confirmed.

Thank you very much to all those who have provided feedback on the content and format of the newsletter.  All comments are very welcome and will help us improve what we do.
