World Book Day- Thursday 6th March
For World book Day this year we are again asking the children to come in in their pyjamas and bring in their favourite book. There will be a range of book and reading activities throughout the day.
Football Club Starts
ASM will be providing our after school football club every Tuesday between now and the end of the school year. The club will run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm from Tuesday 25th February to Tuesday 15th July. Booking and payment is through the ASM website. There is an initial limit of 20 children but this will be reviewed in light of demand. Booking is now open. A flyer is attached.
Safer Internet Day
Next Tuesday is Safer Internet Day. The children will take part in activities, reinforcing the importance of staying safe online, throughout the day.
Parents Evenings
Our Parents Evening will take place on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th February. These are intended to be brief meetings to update you on progress and attainment and any other key information. Should a broader or more in depth discussion be required then this should be dealt with in a separate meeting. All teachers are happy to arrange this. More information will follow next week.
Parking
It is good to see so many now using the church car park to help reduce traffic in the crescent and improve the safety of our children. Thank you for your support in this.
I continue to be mindful of safety at pick up and drop off times and have this week met with police / PCSO to discuss how they can support us in this and other matters, including patrols, as well as coming in to school to work with the children on a range of issues including road safety.
Break for Half Term
We break for half term next Friday (14th February) and return at 8.45am on Monday 24th February.
