On Monday 24th please drop off and pick up as normal from your child’s current classroom. On Tuesday 25th please drop off and pick up from your child’s new classroom.

Whole School Photo

We have had our whole school photograph today.  We expect to be in a position to send you a proof and information out about ordering in the week beginning 1st July.

Performances

Our Summer Performances take place at the beginning of next month.  Tickets will be available from 11am on Monday (24th) morning to purchase from the shop section of Eduspot. They are priced at £3 each.  Due to hall capacity and fire regulations, to be fair to all, tickets are initially restricted to 2 per family.  If you would like to request more please advise the office who will establish a waiting list.  We have, in the past, been able to accommodate requests for extra tickets.

School Uniform

We are making a small change to our school uniform from next year.  From Monday 28th April 2025 a tie will no longer be part of our uniform in any year group.  We will move to a plain white polo shirt, which many children already wear in the summer term.

From our return on 4th September 2024 you are free to choose whether your child wears a shirt and tie, or a white polo shirt.  Ties will continue to be available from the office until the February half term break.  All other uniform and PE kit remains the same.

Reports

Reports will come home on Tuesday 9th July.  If you wish to discuss any aspect of the report with your child’s class teacher please speak directly to them and they will be happy to arrange a convenient time for you to do so.

Ofsted Report

Our Ofsted report was sent out on Tuesday and has now been published on their website.

Sports Day

It is looking increasingly promising that sports day may take place on Thursday.  We will make a final decision, based on the weather, as early as possible.

I have received a few comments regarding the disappointment of postponements and cancellations of sports day, and I do share that disappointment. As we get to this point in the year it gets more and more difficult to timetable an event like sports day, when the originally scheduled days don’t go ahead, without cancelling or postponing other things that are planned.  This was the original thinking in trying to place it in May.

Some of you have put forward different ideas for our approach to sports day and we will look at all options and ideas before deciding what we do next year.

Holiday Club

In respect of holiday club we have 24 families saying that they would use Sports Coaching Group again but wouldn’t necessarily need the provision every week, and 11 expressing an interest in the potential Little Stars provision in Stone. We do not yet know if the Little Stars provision consider their likely numbers to be viable.  If it does run they will accept children as young as 3.  We will let you know as soon as we are informed.

I am keen to try to avoid a position where there is no provision at all on offer so will be discussing with Sports Coaching Group what they are able to provide.

Church Summer Fayre

I am attaching a flyer for the church summer fayre on Saturday 6th July.  Please go along and join in the fun.

Regards,

Mr J Gordon
