Let your light shine through family, friendship and faith
“Enabling our whole school community to flourish and let their light shine, preparing them for their role as gentle and humble agents for change in the world we share.”
Dogs
We still have dogs being brought in to the school grounds. We have quite a few children who are nervous around dogs, regardless of how gentle, friendly, or small the dog is. Please do not bring your dog into the school grounds. It is not fair on the children who are not comfortable around them.
Parents’ Evenings
Parents’ evenings are Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 3.45pm – 6.00pm each night. This is an opportunity to discuss how well you child has settled into their new class. The appointments are 5 minutes per child. Please keep to these times to be considerate to other parents who also have appointments. If you have an issue that needs a longer discussion, then please make a separate appointment. All of the class teachers will be more than happy to do this.
The evening will take a slightly different form to previous years. All of the teachers will be in the hall and there will be a few chairs set out for those parents waiting for their appointment. Your child’s work will be on the table in their classroom and you are encouraged to go and have a look, either before or after your appointment.
After school club will be in the nursery building on Tuesday and Wednesday evening next week.
Wellbeing Day Thursday 19th October
On Thursday we are having a wellbeing day in school. The children will do sessions in outdoor learning, wellbeing and safety, and reading throughout the day. We would like all children to come in outdoor clothes on Thursday as at last one of the sessions will be outdoors.
Clubs
There are no teacher-led afterschool clubs on any day next week. They will all run as usual in the last week of the term.
Sickness
A reminder that if your child is sick and/or has had diarrhoea you must keep them off school for 48 hours from the last bout.
Holiday Club
A reminder to book on early to get the reduced rates.
