Today the children came to school in odd socks to support World Down Syndrome Day.  We have a child who has recently joined our school who has Down Syndrome and his parents came into school and lead an assembly to help explain the condition to the children.

They watched a video which showed many families with Down Syndrome children all singing and signing along to a song.  It was lovely to see all of our children engaged with the message and even joining in with the signing. The assembly highlighted that everyone is different and unique in their own way and the children were able to ask questions to find out more about Down Syndrome.
