If your child attends Barlaston First School you are automatically a member of the PTA and are welcome to come to all PTA meetings. Here at Barlaston First School we have a very active PTA, to which all parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, carers and friends are very welcome to get involved with.

PTA meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month, at 7pm at The Upper House Hotel.
We hold many fund raising events over the year including school discos, film nights, fayres and many more.
The money raised from these events is then spent on the children, helping their learning and school environment.
Parents are directly involved in the spending of the money raised by the PTA, as it is important for you to see where your money is being used.

Uniform Sale
Pre-loved uniform is available for sale at school anytime for a donation and will be available to browse at every Family Worship on Fridays from 2.45pm.
Below are some of the ways we have spent PTA money in the past:
Maths equipment for classroom use;
Purchase of iPads;
Payment for the whole school to attend the New Vic theatre;
Payment of coaches for different school visits;
Purchase of waterproofs to help children with outdoor learning;
Payment for extracurricular support to be brought into school, eg African drummer/ story teller;
Playground equipment and markings;
Gardening equipment...and the list goes on!
Meetings are held at 7pm onwards @ The Upper House Hotel.
