Let your light shine through family, friendship and faith

“Enabling our whole school community to flourish and let their light shine, preparing them for their role as gentle and humble agents for change in the world we share.”

Remembrance

We will hold a service on Friday of this week (10th) at the Cenotaph in the village.  All of the children will gather around the Cenotaph at 10.50am.  Everyone is welcome to join us.

Poppies

Poppies are being sold in school. Please send in a donation if your child would like one.

Attendance

As promised the attendance figures for each class for this year, up to Friday 27th October, are as follows.

Hedgehogs            97.66%

Squirrels               96.23%

Badgers                 96.85%

Deer                     93.98%

Owls               98.25%

 Congratulations Owls!

The national average attendance in the period (data only available to 13 October 2023) is 95.4%. These are good results which we can build on and improve even further over the next half term.

Attendance figures can be somewhat deceptive in that when we achieve 90% in most things it’s a fantastic achievement, but 90% attendance represents 20 full school days missed, which is an enormous amount of missed learning.  We will continue to work hard to maximise our attendance and give our children every opportunity possible.  Thank you for your continued help in this.
